The 2027 Bike Week dates are March 5 to March 14, 2027.

Bike Week Overview

The 2027 rally will be the 86th.

Daytona Beach Bike Week is one of three “national rallies.” The other two national motorcycle rallies are the Sturgis Rally and Laconia Motorcycle Rally.

As you know, the Bike Week in Daytona Beach is also one of the largest and premier rallies in the US. Year after year, this Daytona rally is on LightningCustoms.com’s Major Motorcycle Rallies.

Daytona Beach Bike Week Venues

First, the three main venues for Bike Week. They are downtown Daytona Beach, the Daytona International Speedway, and Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona (in Ormond Beach).

Attractions are happening in Daytona Beach, throughout Volusia County, and beyond. Daytona Bike Week features daily events and attractions.

Other places with Bike Week events include dealerships and bars. Below are just a few of the infamous Daytona Beach-area bars:

What Happens at the Bike Week in Daytona?

Although endless things are going on during Daytona Beach Bike Week 2027, there are some popular rides to check out. First is the ride through the Main Street rally in Daytona. Yes, there will be tons of motorcycles, but it’s cool to do at least once.

Another popular Bike Week ride is on the Loop. Part of the Loop is on A1A, which runs along the Atlantic. In addition, the Loop takes you through some of Florida’s scenery on twisting roads.

The 2027 Daytona Bike Week also offers endless events and attractions. These include motorcycle shows, live music, and racing.

Definitely, Bike Week in Daytona Beach is one of the premier biker rallies in the world. Subsequently, there will be all the attractions that you can imagine:

– Poker runs
– Biker contests
– Biker games
– Motorcycle games
– Contests for the ladies
– Big set-ups
– Displays
– Tons of vendors

NOTE: A lot of Bike Week is free. But check with each venue to see if they charge fees.

History of Daytona Bike Week

First, in 1937, the Daytona 200 was held. Back then, it was called the Handlebar Derby. This was a motorcycle race on the beach. Notably, Ed Kretz won on his Indian motorcycle.

Due to WWII, the Daytona Beach 200 was paused from 1942 to 1947. But Daytona Bike Week still took place during those years.

Then, in 1947, the Daytona motorcycle race resumed. In 1948, they used a new beach for the motorcycle road course. Next, in 1961, the rally races moved to the International Speedway.

Fast forward, and Bike Week has become one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the world.

Florida & Daytona Laws

Florida Motorcycle Helmet Laws – In Daytona Beach or anywhere in Florida, here are the motorcycle helmet laws:

-1- You do not have to wear a helmet if you are over 21. But you must have $10,000 in medical benefits while riding.

-2- Riders and passengers under 21 must always wear helmets when operating or riding a motorcycle.

Daytona Noise Ordinances – Excessive noise is illegal throughout Florida. But you will find that the closer you are to Bike Week, the more it is enforced.

Bike Week Parking – Yes, some Daytona streets have motorcycle-only parking. There are also standard parking spots along roads, in parking lots, at venues, etc. But just like when the Daytona motorcycle rally isn’t happening, you can’t park in resident- and business-reserved parking.

Eye Protection – In Daytona and all of Florida, you must wear eye protection when riding a motorcycle.

Headphones & Headsets – In Florida, it is illegal to wear headphones, headsets, or other listening devices while riding.

Motorcycle Handlebar Height Limits – Bars above the rider’s shoulders are illegal. The height is determined when the rider is seated correctly. During Bike Week, this is frequently enforced.

Headlights – Your bike must have at least one headlight, but not more than two. Also, they must always be on. This poses some issues for baggers. This is because some have three headlights or fog lights on the crash bars.Brake Light – Florida requires a motorcycle brake light. If you are towing a trailer, double-check that the brake lights work.

Motorcycle Taillight – Florida requires a taillight.

Turn Signals – All motorized vehicles must have turn signals. Note: If you are trailering your bike, check that the turn signals are working.

Motorcycle Horns – If you’re going to the Daytona rally or anywhere in Florida, you need a horn. The standard requires the horn to be audible from at least 200 feet away.

Mirrors: All motorized vehicles must have mirrors.

Motorcycle Seats – Both the rider and the passengers on a bike must have seats. And the seat must be “permanently” attached. I’m unsure how “lick and stick”/suction cup pad seats work.

Reflectors – When traveling anywhere in Florida to get to Bike Week in Daytona, you will need one red rear reflector.

Holding Items While Riding – In Florida, both hands must be on the handlebars.

Motorcycle Lane Splitting – You can’t lane split on the way to Bike Week or anywhere in Florida.

Lane Sharing – You can ride “two abreast”/side-by-side on your bike in Florida.

Racing & Exhibition of Speed – As you can guess, you can’t drag a race at any time in Florida or Daytona Beach. Also, speed exhibitions in Florida are illegal.

Motorcycle Stunts – Again, you can’t do stunts, including wheelies.
