General Republic of Texas Biker Rally Information

One of the best motorcycle rallies Texas has to offer is the Republic of Texas rally in Austin. The official ROT site is at the Travis Expo Center just east of Austin, but Austin has a lot of attractions itself including 6th Street that will be packed with bikes and bikers enjoying the fact that 9 out of 10 doors are bars, clubs, or pubs and that the city is the Live Music Capital with bands playing many of the establishments. Austin is located in the lush Hill Country, so there are lots of great scenic rides.

Attracting some 40,000 plus to the Expo Center and a lot more to enjoy the city, the 2009 ROT biker rally is on the Lightning Customs 2009 Major Biker Rallies List. Big Texas Chop-Off, Ride-In Bike Show, , Celebrity Bike Builders, Tattoo Contest, Bike Give-Away, biker games, Xtreme Fighting, bike show, roller derby, and vendors. There will be 70 bands on 4 stages and there will be some big name bands, for instance, in 2008 Charlie Daniels and Molly Hatchet played.

There will be 70 bands on 4 stages and there will be some big name bands, for instance, in 2008 Charlie Daniels and Molly Hatchet played.

If you really want to experience this Texas motorcycle rally, you should camp out at the rally grounds. Although during the day the rally is relatively tame, at night it is an adult atmosphere with a lot of skin.
