Sturgis Rally General Information
The 72nd annual Sturgis bike rally (aka the Black Hills rally) will be held in 2012. Sturgis has grown from only a motorcycle race in 1938 to the motorcycle Mecca today. The Sturgis bike week is one of the three national rallies (the other two are Daytona Beach Bike Week and Laconia Motorcycle Week) and is one of the Lightning Customs' 2012 Major Biker Rallies List.

Simply put; Sturgis has everything. The Black Hills area has scenic rides and famous destinations like the Badlands, Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and more. You will find all of the attractions you have ever heard about at any rally and in even grander style throughout the region including downtown Sturgis, at famous bars like the Full Throttle Saloon, and campgrounds like the Buffalo Chip. Just to list a few Sturgis biker rally attractions there are top named bands, the best bike shows, celebrities, manufacturers' exhibits, endless contests, and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum.
