General Spring Thunder Beach Rally Info

Panama City Beach hosts two Florida motorcycle events billed as "The Most Biker Friendly FREE Rally in the United States". The fist being the spring rally which attracts 60,000 plus attendees and the second is the Fall Thunder Beach rally which attracts 45,000 plus attendees that will happen in 2008 September 25 to 28. The 2008 Thunder Beach rally in the Spring is on the 2008 Lightning Customs Major Bike Rallies List.

Spring Panama City Beach Rally Attractions

If you have never been to one of the Panama City Beach rallies, you will find one of the major attractions is the 25 miles of white sandy beaches on the Gulf of Mexico riding. The weather at this time is normally good for riding and in 2007 the weather was great. An unusual draw to the Thunder Beach motorcycle rally is that it is free which in todays rally world is rare.

Not only do the five official venues of the Boardwalk Beach Resort, Shoppes at Edgewater, Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort, Pier Park, and the Spinnaker Beach Club have a lot of attractions but also throughout the Panama City areas bars. The police have stepped up giving tickets for nudity, burn outs, and loud pipes, but there is still a ton of attractions.

At the time of writing the official Thunder Beach events have not been announced but below are some traditional rally attractions. At the official venues and bars you will have live music, bike shows, biker contests, tattoo shows, giveaways, dyno testing, poker runs, a parade, bike shows, bike builders, stunt shows, and yes there are still contests for the ladies including wet t-shirt contests, Miss Thunder Beach, bikini contests, and others. There are always big rig displays from various brands of motorcycles and vendors at each of the 5 venues and some of the bars.
