General Information
Although the smaller of the two Panama City Florida rallies is the Fall Thunder Beach motorcycle rally, in 2011 the Fall Rally had the highest number of attendees in the 11 year history. The larger rally is the Thunder Beach Spring Rally which takes place May 2 to 6 in 2012. Both rallies are billed as the "The Most Biker Friendly FREE Rally in the United States" and are on the Lightning Customs' 2012 Major Bike Rally List.
Attractions
Official Thunder Beach rally venues are always free to get into and also have free parking. In 2011 the venues were Lavela, Frank Brown Park, Pier Park, Pineapple Willy's, Sharkys Beach Bar, and the Shops at Edgewater. Attractions included the Thunder Beach Kick-Start Party, bike show, poker runs, live music, riding along the beach, parade, demo rides, and vendors. Two of the traditional contests for the ladies are a bikini contest and the Miss Thunder Beach contest and in 2011 there was also a Ms. Thunder Beach Rally contest added for ladies over 35.
