Thunder in the Valley General Info

The Thunder in the Valley motorcycle rally is held in the Johnstown PA area that is an hour east of Pittsburgh. The Johnstown Convention and Visitors puts on the rally so the city wants you there as well as the business and the locals. This event is the biggest of the Pennsylvania motorcycle rallies and with over 200K motorcycle enthusiasts it is on the 2013 Lightning Customs' Major Bike Rallies List.

Johnstown Motorcycle Rally Attractions

The rally is located in the Allegheny Mountains region, so there is a lot of scenic terrain and winding roads to ride through. There are guided tours as well as self-guided rides where you can pick up a map for a ride.

One big addition to the 2012 rally was the addition of the Broken Spoke Saloon. Not only were there tons of attractions there, but there was also a lot going on at other bars, venues, and dealerships in the Johnstown region.

Some of the highlights at the Johnstown PA Rally are the Welcome Party, Rat's Hole Custom Motorcycle Show, Car and Motorcycle Show, hill climbs, Tattoo Expo, and multiple rides and runs.

Other events include The World Burnout Tour featuring Nick Lee, charity events, Wall of Death, stunt shows, biker games, Hot Nights/Cool Lights Night Parade, fireworks, the Budweiser Clydesdales, Grand Thunder Parade, motorcycle manufacturers displays with their demo fleets, vendors in four areas in the hub of the rally, and you can't forget the contests for the ladies.
