Below is Indigo’s Rescue Ranch Poker Run information.
The mission of Indigo’s Rescue Ranch (Indigo) is to provide temporary care and shelter for Jackson County’s stray and unwanted dogs while it seeks foster and/or “forever” homes for them. Indigo’s Rescue Ranch is named after Indigo, a friendly black lab mix and one of the many dogs currently available for adoption at the ranch.
The purpose of Indigo’s Motorcycle Poker Run is to raise funds that will enable Indigo to continue its mission of reducing the pain and suffering of the county’s stray and unwanted dogs.
Next, Indigo’s Dog Rescue Poker Run is a motorcyclist’s dream as the run travels the beautiful backroads of Jackson County, Indiana.
Also, poker run prizes will be awarded for the “Poker Run Best Hand,” a ticket raffle, and a silent auction. Plus, Indigo’s T-shirts will also be on sale.
Come on down if you don’t want to participate in the poker run but would like to participate in the day and evening festivities. Also, if you feel like staying overnight, bring your camping gear, camper, or RV and stay at Black Swan Lake. It is only $15 per vehicle (motorcycle, camper, and/or RV) for the night and to enjoy food, live music, and festivities.
Sites do not have electricity or sewer but feel free to bring your generator. Feel free to come early and set up your campsite and drop your gear before the poker run begins.
Event and camper registration (for those who will camp), issuance of maps, first poker card draw, and the silent auction start at 10:30 am at Black Swan Lake (a private lake).
Staff will be available at Black Swan Lake at 9:30 am for those who want to arrive early and set up their campsite before the poker run begins.
One-up motorcycle riders pay a poker run fee of $25. If you have a passenger riding with you, the Indigo’s Poker Run fee is $35. Bikers shove off at 11:00 am and may ride together or singly as you desire.
