General Information

The Thunder in the Rockies Rally is held each year on Labor Day weekend, it is the largest of the Colorado motorcycle rallies, and it is on the Lightning Customs' 2012 Major Bike Rallies List.

Attractions

Loveland being located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains offers lots of scenic rides including areas like the in the Flat Irons (red shear rocks) outside of Boulder, Estes Park (where the movie the Shining was filmed), and the Poudre River which is about 7 miles northwest of Ft. Collins. Being in Colorado where the weather truly is dynamic you need to be ready for all types of conditions.

Some of the other attractions at the Loveland motorcycle rally include top notch national bands (in 2011 Vince Neil, Jackyl, and Molly Hatchet played), bike show, top name bike builders, the Full Throttle Saloon, midget wrestling, biker contests, contests for the ladies including the Miss Thunder in the Rockies contest, promotions girls, burnout pit, stunt show, vendors, and since it is thrown by Thunder Mountain Harley there will be demo rides.
