General 2008 Sturgis on the River Information

Sturgis Mississippi bike rally takes place each year on Fathers Day weekend on the show grounds west of the Centennial Bridge and LeClaire Park in Davenport Iowa. The weather for the 2007 Davenport Iowa rally was really good and gave riders the chance to enjoy the scenic rides along the Mississippi River. Sturgis on the River is one of the larger rallies in the area and is on the 2008 Lightning Customs Major Harley Rallies List.

There are a number of guided rides runs at the Mississippi River Rally including rides with celebrities. In addition to the riding, the Mississippi River also has riverboat gambling for you to try your luck.

The 2007 Davenport rally offered the River Rat Bike Show and also the Chopper College Bike Build where wrenches put together a chopper in 3 days. Celebrity appearances at the 2007 bike rally included the Big Schwag and Randy from Milwaukee Iron.

Also at the 2007 Davenport Sturgis on the River you had the chance to see the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall. If you have never seen the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington DC, the Traveling Tribute Wall is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices that our men and women of our armed forces have given to preserve our freedom.

Other attractions at the Mississippi River Rally included tons of live music from regional bands, around 100 vendors, the Scooter Girl, bikini bike wash, Ball of Steel, bikini bike wash, ultimate fighting, and other events.
