As you are well aware, the New Orleans area was devastated by the hurricanes in 2005 and the 2005 Steel Pony motorcycle rally was canceled. Due to the damage to the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and the rallys location at the University of New Orleans on Lake Pontchartrain, you will need to check out the official site of the Steel Pony Express to find out what will be going on in 2006. The area could really use the revenue from tourists, so check out Steel Pony 2006 if possible.

Below are some typical events that this New Orleans rally has had in the past: a number of custom bike builders and their motorcycles, motorcycle manufacturers, large parts, accessories and apparel manufacturers, bike show, motorcycle stunts, tons of vendors, live music, Cajun food, and contests. Bourbon Street is normally one thing that you must experience at the Steel Pony rally, but we will have to see how far the rebuilding efforts have come in 2006.
