General SPI Bike Fest Information

The South Padre Island BikeFest is a family oriented bike rally and is one of the larger Texas bike rallies that is on the 2008 Lightning Customs Major Bike Rallies List.

The island of South Padres is a narrow island in the Gulf of Mexico with three main streets, Laguna Blvd and Gulf Blvd are the two outside streets that you can ride and see the water. The street in the middle of the island is called Padre Blvd and this is the main drag. South Padre Island is a resort town that offers a unique setting because there are a lot of open bars and restaurants along the three main streets where you can relax and people watch.

One thing to note is that the hotel rooms are relatively expensive during SPI Bikefest, but if you dont stay on the island you will have to sit in traffic often on the Causeway that brings you across the water. No matter where you want to stay while you are at the South Padre bike rally, book your rooms early or you will be left with only expensive rooms.

South Padre Bike Fest Attractions

The events at the South Padre Bike Fest are held primarily at two locations, the South Padre Convention Center and Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark. One of the big events each year at the SPI motorcycle is the guided Mexico Fiesta Run where you cross the border, party and shop. Other typical Bike Fest events include live music, bike shows, biker field events, multiple poker runs, stunt shows, tattoo contest, raffles, a parade down Padre Blvd and other non biker events.
