May 24, 2015

All of these rides do culminate on May 24th for the official Ride for Freedom to the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Wall. The single day Ride is one of the largest motorcycle events, attracting hundreds of thousands riders and non-riders, and is on the 2015 Lightning Customs’ Major Biker Rallies List.
General Rolling Thunder Info
The purpose of the Rolling Thunder Ride is to raise awareness and educate the public about the POW-MIA issue, to prevent future POW-MIA, and to help veterans. You don’t have to ride a motorcycle to show your support, but just come out for the ceremonies, line the streets during the ride, and meet at the DC Vietnam Veterans’ and other memorials surrounding the Reflecting Pools.
If you have never been to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, it is a surreal experience and this is especially true when you see veterans at the Wall. Whether you see the Wall during Rolling Thunder in DC or at a different time, it is something that every American should try to experience at least once in their lifetime.
