Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Rally General Information

There are two Bike Weeks in the Myrtle Beach area: the Fall Rally and the Spring Rally (May 11 to 20, 2012); the spring bike rally is the larger of the two. There have been a lot of changes over the years with the Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Week and other rallies in the area, but the Fall Rally is still on the 2012 Lightning Customs' Major Biker Rallies List.

There have been a number of things have affected the rallies in Myrtle Beach. The primary change that has occurred over the years is that the City of Myrtle Beach and some of the surrounding cities have passed laws that are non-motorcycle enthusiast friendly to try and end the three Myrtle Beach area rallies (Myrtle Beach Fall, Myrtle Beach Spring, and Black Biker Week). The cities' laws combined with the changes in motorcycle rallies due to the economy and slow down in the motorcycle industry that have effected the most rallies significantly lowered the number of attendees, attractions, and vendors at the Myrtle Beach rallies.

The good news is that the long time promoter of the Myrtle Beach Bike Weeks, Sonny, implemented some changes. Although the record attendance levels in 2004 will not be seen in the future the attendance numbers at the Bike Weeks as well as fun, attractions, and profitability for vendors will improve.

There will be no events in the city of Myrtle Beach, but instead you will see the rally events expand to the surrounding areas. This doesn't mean that you will not be able to enjoy the Grand Strand without being hassled because only 14 of the 60 miles are in the city of Myrtle Beach. Murrells Inlet on the south end of the Grand Strand will still be the center for attractions.
