General 2008 Leesburg BikeFest Information

The 2008 Leesburg bike rally will attract some 150,000 plus attendees which makes it one of the larger Florida motorcycle events and is on the 2008 Lightning Customs Major Motorcycle Rallies List.

A refreshing note about Leesburg is how the city, police and merchants treat the visitors to their Bike Week. As you are aware, police at a lot of motorcycle rallies, and certainly at the larger rallies, hand out tickets for just about everything. The city of Leesburg Florida really seems to appreciate all of the money the bikers bring into the city as much as any of the rallies around the country.

The Leesburg rally is relatively mellow, part of it might be that the crowd is family friendly and also be that there are not tons of bars getting wild in the evening. Maybe the police have been told that the rallies attendees bring in a lot of money (a lot more than the police can write in tickets), the crowd is more family friendly, and/or they recognize most people who ride are not outlaws.

So the city of Leesburg tries to help make the Leesburg motorcycle rally a success. For instance, they block off Main Street for motorcycle parking only and so the rallys attendees can wander around during the Leesburg rally.

Leesburg Motorcycle Rally Attractions

While at the Leesburg motorcycle rally you will have the opportunity to ride through some of beautiful neighboring towns and also enjoy the hilly area of Florida. The Rats Hole bike show is also another big attraction at the Leesburg event.

Other attractions include live music, motorcycle manufacturers big rig set up, major distributors like Drag Specialties, Ms. Bikefest contest, other contests for the ladies, biker games, tattoo contest, poker runs, motorcycle stunts, and vendors. The vendors are not only motorcycle related, but there are also a lot of non-motorcycle related vendors so you literally might find anything you might want.
