General 2008 Hollister Rally Information

In 2006 the Hollister bike rally was canceled because of various issues with the powers that be even after attempts by different companies trying to move the event to nearby towns. As we noted then, this was a huge loss to the motorcycle community because the Hollister California motorcycle rally was the birthplace of the "American Biker" and the "incident" in 1947 had inspired Marlon Brandos "The Wild One" movie.

In 2007 Horse Power Promotions took over the event and brought the rally back to life attracting the largest crowd ever of over 130,000 attendees. In 2008 the Hollister California motorcycle rally will be celebrating its 61st anniversary and it is on the 2008 Lightning Customs Major Bike Rallies List.

Hollister Biker Rally Attractions

Some of the events that you can expect at the 2008 Hollister motorcycle rally will include custom bike builders, custom bike show, demo rides, three stages with live music, vendors, biker contests, and of course the Miss Hollister competition. Horse Power Promotions did a great job in 2007 and in 2008 they will be bringing more hill climbs, racing, and expanding the event to surrounding areas.
