This ride will be held in conjunction with the Inaugural Bay Area Rally (http://www.bayarearally.com/) to be held at Space Center Houston, next to Johnson Space Center. The ride will be approximately one hour around Clear Lake beginning and ending at Space Center Houston.
David Beverly (http://www.bayarearally.com/davidbeverly.aspx) was the founder of the Johnson Space Center (JSC) Space Riders, a motorcycle organization open to all JSC NASA community motorcycle enthusiasts. David was a friendly, outgoing rider who was born with a passion for all aspects of motorcycling. He was a popular member of many motorcycle groups and organizations, and was a frequent participant at local and interstate motorcycle rallies and track days. David always made a special effort to support charity events and was a noted participant in rides benefiting children. Dave was killed at Johnson Space Center on April 20, 2007. Dave’s spirit lives on in many ways, two of which are charity work and the comradeship of motorcycle riding.
