DescriptionThe 10th Annual Troop Ride will be on July 22, 2017. Troop Ride is an approximate 100 mile motorcycle parade style ride that benefits the USO in Fort Drum. Registration is $15 per person, and you can either pre - register online, at www.troopride.com (May 1st - July 21st) or the day of. In honor of the 10th anniversary, you will receive a free Troop Ride shirt, with each pre - registration. You can also like our page, www.facebook.com/troopride. Registration begins at 8:30am, and the ride leaves at 10am. All proceeds from the charity ride are given to the USO, to help them continue to support our troops. They fight for us, we ride for them.

The USO (United Service Organizations) is a 501(c)3, congressionally-chartered private, nonprofit organization that provides a home away from home for our troops and their families. The USO's mission is to lift the spirits of America's troops and their families. They provide for the comfort and convenience of all military personnel - Active, Reserve and Guard - and their family members, when they come home, or are overseas.

Each year we have seen the Troop Ride grow, and as it grows, we are able to raise more money for our troops and the USO. The community involvement continues to grow as well, and it becomes more and more amazing each year. We keep all the stops on the ride military oriented. We start at the Horseheads American Legion, then we travel to the Dundee VFW for lunch. When we depart, we go to the Bath, VA. While we are there, we pass a helmet around to all riders, and collect money to give to the VA. This helps the vets have a little money in their accounts for personal items, or expenses that are either not covered, or they do not have funds for. After we leave the VA, we are ending the ride at the Corning VFW. They will have music, food, and we will have the raffle items there. Even if you don't ride, you can still join us, either along the ride, or at any of our stops.
