|Description||This scenic ride runs through the pristine Central Florida country sites. Much still undisturbed by urban sprawl. Heading North bound from Apopka towards Sumter County where the ride looped into the newest themed development complete with massive log structures. No expenses has been spared to make the entrance remind the visitor of the cattle herds that one time passed this trail on the way to the railroad. Massive life-size bronze sculptures of cattle and a riding cowboy grace both sides of the Brownwood entrance road (see photo). To make the scene complete, cattle hoofs prints have been embedded in the cement as if they just have come by. Each building in Brownwood Paddock Square is constructed as if it has been there for hundreds of years. A fortification build from vertical logs are seen when entering. It houses the centers entertainment square. The square itself is surrounded by bars and eateries. Some still under construction, some ready to welcome you and pour you a brewsky.
This center is part of The Villages in Lake County expanding into Sumter County. The brainchild of the Schwartz and Morse families. If you like to ride with me through Florida’s pristine country, see unspoiled and enjoy this amazing site arising out of nowhere come to Panera Bread on SR 441 in Apopka Sunday morning Aug. 17 before 9:00 AM.
