2014 Vintage Swap Meet and Show N Shine celebrate Triumph Twins.
The 29th Annual Classic and Vintage Motorcycle Swap Meet and Show ‘N Shine takes place this year on Sunday April 27 at the South Delta Recreation Centre in Tsawwassen, BC. South Delta Recreation Centre is on 56th Street in Tsawwassen, British Columbia near the junction with Highway 17, 20 minutes north of the US border and 30 minutes south of Vancouver BC.
Swap meet doors open at 10:00 am. Admission $10, under 12 free. Regarded as the premier event of its kind in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. The annual Classic and Vintage Swap Meet has become a welcome tradition for motorcycle enthusiasts from all over North America and beyond.
Event organizer Todd Copan expects well over 150 vendors, filling the vending areas with vintage European, American and Japanese motorcycle parts, clothing and memorabilia. This year’s show theme is a salute to Triumph Twins, in most motorcycling enthusiasts minds the bike that is the most symbolic of the British Motorcycling empire.
Even Brando rode one in the “Wild Ones” and, when asked many would say the most famous is the late 60’s Bonneville, or the ’59 Bonny, its first year. Some would say the 1938 Speed Twin but few know or would acknowledge these classic bike’s grandfather, the 1934 Triumph 6/1. We have a 1934 model 6/1 on display, the only one known to exist in North America!
Owners of all makes and styles of classic and vintage motorcycles are invited to participate in the Show ‘N Shine, and awards will be presented in several classes, including “Best in Show” and “People’s Choice”. Said Copan, “The Show ‘N Shine provides a unique opportunity for local restorers to show off their skills. This year promises to be the best display yet.”
With concessions, wheelchair accessibility and the indoor Show ‘N Shine this event is sure to entertain the entire family.
