April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The beneficiary is STRENGTHENING FAMILIES of North Texas (formally Relief Nursery of Collin County). SFNTx is a Texas 501c3 non-profit child abuse prevention program. SFNTx works with families that are at risk of abuse and neglect; before CPS gets involved and the children are removed from the home and put into foster care. We strengthen families by providing them the tools to grow through service, support and education. With our unique blend of services, STRENGTHENING FAMILIES of North Texas builds on the belief that most parents want to be good parents and children are best served when they remain with their families in a safe and nurturing environment.
