|Description||WELCOME TO THE BLUE KNIGHTS LA II 2011 POKER RUN|
Total ride is 64 miles. Registration starts at New Orleans Harley-Davidson at 8:30AM. Last bike out from New Orleans Harley-Davidson is 9:30AM. POKER HAND MUST BE TURNED IN NO LATER THAN 3:00PM AT ROCK N BOWL. Poker Hand Winners Announced at 4:00PM.
REGISTRATION ONLY AT: NEW ORLEANS HARLEY-DAVIDSON, 6015 AIRLINE DR., METAIRIE.
POKER HANDS ARE DRAWN ONLY AT STOPS 1 THRU 5.
STOP #1…..BIG AL’S SALOON……13 MILES
1440B Westbank Expy., Harvey (Next to D & L Power Sports)
Leaving New Orleans Harley-Davidson head east on Airline Dr. and continue on to the Greater New Orleans Expressway (I-10 east). Once on the expressway get in the far 2 left lanes (do not take the exit marked I-10 east Slidell) but proceed over the Greater New Orleans Bridge. After crossing the bridge get off at the Manhattan Exit. At the bottom of this exit make a left turn. Then make another left turn at the Exxon station. Ahead you will see the tall sign D & L Power Sports. Take a right there and you will see Big Al’s in the back.
STOP #2….MCGUIRE’S PUB…….23 MILES
13755 River Road, Luling
Leaving Big Al’s Saloon take the first “U” turn under the expressway and just after crossing Manhattan take the up ramp to get back on the elevated expressway heading West. The elevated expressway will later come down to ground level. Once you are at ground level you will continue straight for about 3.8 miles. Before reaching your next turn, you will see a sign for Bayou Segnett Park on the left. Continue straight on the Westbank Expressway (Hwy.90) and get in the right lane. Take a right on Nine Mile Point Rd. You will soon cross a RR track. Go a short distance and take a left on Nine Mile Point Rd.W. Go the red light at Hwy. 18 and proceed straight across it passing under the RR bridge.
Stay on Hwy. 18 passing the ship yard on your right and RR yard on your left. It’s about 13 miles from here to McGuire’s Pub. Continue on Hwy. 18 until you see the I-310 suspension bridge ahead of you. Just before the bridge on your left is McGuire’s Pub.
STOP # 3…..G. SMITH MOTORSPORTS……7 MILES
10567 Airline Hwy., St. Rose
Leaving McGuire’s Pub head for the bridge and take the right ramp directing you to the east bank or Destrehan or I-310 to I-10. Continue on I-310 for about 4 miles and take the right exit ramp to Airline Hwy. (Hwy. 61). At this point you will see a traffic light at Almedia Rd. (Hwy. 50). Go about 300 ft. and on your right is G. Smith Motorsports.
STOP #4.....BAY CAFÉ……8 MILES
5036 W. Esplanade, Metairie
Leaving G. Smith Motorsports take a left on Airline Hwy. and get on I-310 and take the next right towards I-10 and Kenner. Follow I-10 past Loyola Dr. and get off at the Williams Blvd. Exit and get in the left lane. Take a left on Williams Blvd. and get in the right lane and take a right at West Esplanade. You’ll go past Power Blvd. before approaching the Bay Café on the right just before Transcontinental Dr.
STOP #5…..THE KAMP……6 MILES
2317 Hickory Ave., Harahan
Leaving Bay Café take a right on Transcontinental and go to Airline Hwy. Take a right and go to David Dr. (get in the left turning lane). Take a left on David Dr. and go over the overpass. You are now on Dickory St. Go straight to Dock St. and take a right at the Shell Gas Station. Take a right at the yield sign which is Hickory St. Go straight to The Kamp on the right.
FINAL DESTINATION……..ROCK N BOWL MID-CITY LANES……7 MILES
3000 S. Carrollton Ave., New Orleans
Leaving The Kamp take Hickory St. to Dock St. Take a left and go to Dickory St. Take a left and get to the right lane. Take a right on the ramp to the Earhart Expy. Follow this and when it becomes ground level in New Orleans it becomes Earhart Blvd. Stay on Earhart Blvd. to S. Carrollton Ave. Take a right on S. Carrollton Ave. and Rock N Bowl is just around the corner.
