Kevin, who grew up in Tinley Park, was at the end of his second deployment, and it was just one month after his 21st birthday, when he was killed in a firefight, by small arms fire in western Al-Anbar province Iraq, February 19th, 2005.
The ride is to honor Kevin and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Registration starts at 7:00AM, at the Tinley Park American Legion Post 615, 17423 S. 67th Court.
Kickstands up at 10:30AM sharp. The run will go to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for a ceremony, then return to Post 615 for food, entertainment, raffles and a silent auction. Registration fees are $20 for riders, $10 for passengers. Cars are gladly welcomed. There will be an optional pancake breakfast from 7-10AM hosted by the American Legion Riders for a $5.00 fee.
