Mark your calendars! Were having a bike FUN RUN to benefit MD Andersons Ovarian Cancer Research Project and you and your club are invited.

Join us at Ruth and Everetts home bar - Sambos Black Jack 13903 Muscatine, Houston, TX 77015 on April 30, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The run fee is $25 for a single rider or $35 per couple. Weve made it easy to register just go to www.WeFightLikeAGirl.com/funrun.html. All participants will receive a run pin (limited to availability) and if you register and pay by April 23, 2011, youll receive a free t-shirt (limited to availability).

Ruth is a 44 year old woman and has stage 4 ovarian cancer that has spread to her liver. She was originally diagnosed with ovarian cancer in May of 2005, and has been unable to ride much since then, as she has been battling this disease for nearly 6 years now. When she found out it had spread to her liver, and she would have to begin chemotherapy again for the 3rd time, she decided to Fight Like A Girl and created this fundraiser with her best friend of nearly 30 years.

We Fight Like A Girl is a fun run, leathers runway show and auction, and BBQ (brisket, sausage, potato salad, beans, and all the fixins).

First bike out at 10 a.m. Last bike in at 3 p.m. The bike fun run is relatively short because we want everyone to be able to enjoy the auction, food, and chances to win a door prize.

Ovarian cancer is the ninth most common cancer (other than skin cancer) in women.
It ranks fifth as the cause of cancer death in women.
Ovarian cancer accounts for 3% of all cancers among US women and is the second most common gynecologic cancer.
The American Cancer Society estimates that there will be about 21,880 new cases of Ovarian cancer in the United States in 2010.
About 13,850 women will die of Ovarian cancer.
Despite important advances in the treatment of Ovarian cancer, it remains the leading cause of gynecologic cancer death in US women.

All profits will be donated to MD Andersons Ovarian Cancer Project. With your generous support we can help those researching for a cure achieve their goals.
