|Description||It was a year ago this week that a group of friends came together with the idea to help their friend and co-worker, David F. Wilson, a Hillsborough Township Police Officer, who had been diagnosed a few months earlier with leukemia. They decided to hold a benefit motorcycle ride, one of Daves passions, to raise money to offset his medical and other bills. This group of friends call themselves Wilsons Warriors and they started the Wilsons 10-33 Foundation Inc.|
They put together a ride that drew motorcycle enthusiasts from across the tri-state area and also many community leaders, businesses and residents and was a huge success. Unfortunately, David passed away in September 2009, but one of his last wishes was for Wilsons Warriors to hold the motorcycle run again this year to help others in the Hillsborough Township Emergency Services community, when and if the need arise, and to carry on his legacy.
Wilsons Warriors and the Wilsons 10-33 Foundation, Inc. is again hosting the Wilsons 10-33 Memorial Ride and Picnic on May 2, 2010. It will be held at the Hillsborough Fire Co. #2, 375 Route 206, Hillsborough, NJ (next to Charlie Browns). The $20 donation will cover the ride, food, drinks and entertainment. Registration will start at 9am. If you do not wish to participate in the ride, you can still purchase a ticket for $20 to cover the food, drinks, and entertainment. Please go to www.wilson1033foundation.org to register and for more information. We will keep you posted on upcoming events, how to donate and more.
Wilsons Warriors would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their generous donations and support over the past year and hope to see you all at the memorial ride and picnic.
