General Salute to American Veterans Information

THE BELOW INFORMATION is was written 12-29-2010 before the location and dates were announced.


Although the Salute to American Veterans Motorcycle Rally was held in Cripple Creek Colorado originally and temporarily was located in Winter Park Colorado, in 2010 it moved back to Cripple Creek and will be there in 2011. The Salute to American Veterans motorcycle rally is on the 2011 Lightning Customs Major Motorcycle Rallies List.

American Salute Cripple Creek Rally Events

The Cripple Creek area has some unique rides because you get to see a lot of the old mining area and ride in the mountains of Colorado. Having ridden in Colorado for years and just as we say for a rally in any mountain area, the variation in temperature between the day and evening is big. In addition mountainous regions can have drastic and fast changes in weather, so bring your cold weather and rain gear to the Salute.

Cripple Creek also has lower small stakes slot machines and table games like poker and blackjack. More specifics will be announced closer to the Salute to American Veterans bike rally, but there are a number of items that happen annually POW/MIA remembrance ceremony, a POW/MIA recognition motorcycle ride, Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall, military plane flyovers, veterans' poker run, music, veterans' parade, tattoo contest, vendors, and more to be announced as we approach the date.
