General SPI Bikefest Information
The South Padre Island Bikefest "Roar by the Shore" is one of the family friend Texas motorcycle rallies where you will see all brands and styles of motorcycles. Texas motorcycle rallies at this time of year still enjoy pretty good riding weather, but bring gear incase it gets a little cold or rains like it did in 2009. The SPI rally attracted an estimated 10,000 attendees in 2009 and is on the 2010 Lightning Customs' Major Bike Rally List.
SPI Bike Rally Attractions
South Padre Island has three main roads going north and south on Padre Island which are great for cruising and you can enjoy the great view of the Gulf of Mexico on one side and Laguna Madre on the other side. Another benefit of South Padre location is the outdoor bars, taverns and restaurants. They give you the opportunity to eat or kick back and have a beer while watching the motorcycles and people at the SPI rally.
