General Golden Aspen Rally Information
Although both are fun, the Golden Aspen Rally is the second Ruidoso NM rally of the year and also the larger of the two events. In 2009 the Golden Aspen attracted an estimated 35,000 attendees compared to the approximate 10,000 attendees during the spring AspenCash Rally which will be held May 20 to 23. The Golden Aspen bike rally is held at the Ruidoso Downs Racetrack and Casino and is on the 2010 Lightning Customs' Major Bike Rally List. Be sure you bring warm clothes and rain gear because if you are not familiar with the Rocky Mountains the night times cool down and the weather can change quickly.
Ruidoso Golden Aspen Rally Attractions
There are a ton of things to do while at the Ruidoso rally, but the unique attraction that the area offers during this time of year is the changing of the aspens. Depending on when the aspen trees change colors you might be able to see the large leaves turn from green to incredible reds, pinks, and oranges. This is something that you will talk about and remember for years to come about the Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally.
Attractions during the Golden Aspen AMA National Road Riding Convention will include live music, guided rides, field events and games, MSF Advanced Motorcycle Riders Course, prize drawings, Golden Aspen Rally King and Queen contest, motorcycle parade, and other contests.
