American Salute Rally General Info

The American Salute Rally is a POW/MIA rally that in 2013 will be held in Cripple Creek CO (in the past it has been located in Copper Mountain Colorado) and it is located in the Pike National Forest near the base of Pikes Peak (about 45 miles from southwest from Colorado Springs). The town had a gold rush in 1890 and you can still see the remnants on the Foothills around Cripple Creek. All of the above makes for a lot of scenic rides while you are at the Salute to Vets which is on it is on the 2013 Lightning Customs' Major Biker Rallies List.

American Salute Attractions

A featured event of the 2013 Cripple Creek Rally will be the 26th anniversary of POW/MIA Recognition Ride. The approximate 25 mile Ride starts in Woodland Park Colorado, goes through the Rocky Mountains, and ending in Cripple Creek. Registration from goes from 8am and ends at 10am (pancake breakfast is available), and then the leaves at 10:30am. The fee to be part of the ride it costs $7 for the rider and $10 for the rider and the passenger.

Another thing this small mountain town for you to checkout while at the American Veterans Salute is the low stakes gambling in Cripple Creek and the close by towns of Central City and Blackhawk. Other rally attractions include live music, Vietnam Traveling Wall, POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony, Veterans Parade, military aircraft flyovers, industry celebrities, poker run, Wild West style gunfighters, and vendors.
